Heinemann Australia debuts an exclusive new luxury shopping experience at Sydney International Airport as part of the ‘Luxury Precinct’ – a world-class travel retail experience

18 Feb 2023

Heinemann Australia unveils its stunning new luxury beauty, fashion and accessories store at Sydney Airport, completely rethinking the store design and world-leading assortment across fragrance, skincare, make-up and beauty, watches and jewellery, and introduces a wide array of fashion and accessories to join a line-up of luxury and premium brands available exclusively in airport retail in Australia.

The new duty-free stores are emblematic of Heinemann’s signature design aesthetic of creating a luxury sense of place. The new store will offer customers an iconic and unique experience that connects back to the essence of Sydney and the beauty of its coastline, with clear visibility and elegant lines, serving as the most compelling stage for some of the world’s most iconic luxury brands and exclusive products.

The new store design complements and anchors Sydney Airport’s new luxury boutique line-up within the Luxury Precinct, the largest collection of luxury brands in Australia. This impressive collection of designers and brands represents an unforgettable shopping experience for travellers, placing the magic of the travel retail experience at the fore.

Heinemann’s new fashion and accessories brands such as Chloé, Kenzo, Lanvin, MM6 Maison Margiela and several more are available in Australian airport retail exclusively at Heinemann Tax and Duty Free. These international designer labels are exclusive to Heinemann Australia within Sydney Airport – part of an expanded floor space for Heinemann Tax & Duty Free within the international terminal – the largest ever dedicated floorspace to fashion and accessories for Heinemann within an Australian airport.

Heinemann has also extended its watches and jewellery range, with the introduction of international designer brands such as Piaget, Hublot, Breitling, Qeelin and Messika, many of which are available in an Australian airport for the first time.

Alongside the expanded floorspace dedicated to fashion, accessories, watches and jewellery, Heinemann Australia have further increased the space dedicated to beauty in order to accommodate a larger suite of brands. The Heinemann Beauty Hall includes experiential and boutique spaces for Kylie Cosmetics, Fresh and La Prairie – bringing the Art of Beauty Suite to travellers in a new, permanent location. Elsewhere, brands such as Chloé, Hermès Beauty, Burberry and Acqua di Parma are also available at an Australian airport for the first time, exclusively at Heinemann Tax and Duty Free at Sydney Airport.

“We are delighted to bring an array of new and exclusive brands and travelling experiences for our customers. With our new stores, complementing our existing world-class wines and spirits, confectionery and local products assortment, Heinemann at Sydney Airport is a shopping destination not to be missed,” says Heinemann Australia Managing Director, George Tsoukalas.

“In 2019, we set out to change the face of luxury at Sydney Airport and I’m delighted to see our vision come together with the completion of Heinemann’s new store. Meticulous work has gone into creating a luxury shopping destination worth arriving early for, from the layout and design of the new precinct to the superior experiences available in each of the luxury stores. International travellers can look forward to curated brand, culinary and luxury experiences, as we continue to innovate and position Sydney Airport as a key player on the world stage of luxury,” says Sydney Airport Executive General Manager – Commercial, Mark Zaouk.

Travellers looking to make the most of the new shopping experience at Heinemann need not worry about overweight baggage or having to carry their purchases throughout their trip. Heinemann offers Click & Collect and Shop & Collect services, where shoppers can buy online or in-store and collect their products at a Heinemann pick-up counter at their convenience upon return from their trip or at another time convenient for them.

The Heinemann Australia luxury shopping experience and expanded selection of brands and products is now open at Sydney International Airport to set a new benchmark in the travel retail experience – creating something worth arriving early for on your next trip.
