Burberry Unveils Hero Parfum: A Bold Journey into Masculinity

22 Sep 2024

Burberry has once again captured the essence of modern masculinity with the launch of Hero Parfum, the latest addition to its Hero fragrance collection. Crafted for men who embrace strength, sensitivity, and self-discovery, this new scent is a celebration of powerful contrasts.

The campaign, directed by visionary filmmaker Jonathan Glazer and captured by renowned photographer Mario Sorrenti, portrays a man and horse on a profound journey through the wild, exploring the boundaries of physical endurance and emotional depth. The result is a visual narrative that mirrors the intensity of the fragrance itself.

Hero Parfum is an intense, woody scent led by rich cedarwood oils. The base of cedarwood is enhanced by delicate top notes of Amyris and Cypriol oil, blending warmth with a rugged earthiness. The fragrance embodies the duality of modern masculinity—combining strength with a subtle touch of vulnerability.

Adam Driver, the face of the Hero fragrance line, reflects on this unique campaign: "It was an ambitious project that involved extreme physicality within the wild uncertainty of nature. This line celebrates that duality."

Perfumer Aurélien Guichard, the mastermind behind Hero Parfum, delves into the symbolism of the scent: "Cedarwood was chosen for its complexity and timeless qualities—strength, immortality, and incorruptibility. Hero Parfum encapsulates the balance between power and sensitivity that defines the modern man."

The deep-brown bottle, angular and striking, draws inspiration from the shape of a horse’s hoof, giving a nod to the wild, untamed spirit captured in the campaign. Embossed with the iconic Burberry logo, it’s a statement piece that adds to the luxury experience.

Hero Parfum is available in 150ml for $280, 100ml for $244, and 50ml for $173. A 200ml refill is also available for $240. The fragrance is available now at MYER, David Jones, and Sephora stores across Australia.
