Aesop Immaculate Facial Tonic - A vitamin-rich formulation to exfoliate, refine and hydrate

18 Apr 2024

Aesop’s Immaculate Facial Tonic provides readily absorbed replenishment and gentle exfoliation, while working to smooth and refine the skin’s texture. It is part of the Skin Care+ range, which comprises formulations distinguished by their superlative array of vitamins and other skin- supportive ingredients. In accordance, Immaculate Facial Tonic contains a particularly potent blend to even the appearance of the skin and boost its suppleness and resilience. Besides its many stand-alone benefits, Immaculate Facial Tonic also prepares the skin for hydration to follow: clean, refreshed skin is indeed ideally readied for humectant and emollient replenishment. To this, the tonic adds the gentle exfoliating properties of Mucor Miehei Extract—a protease obtained from the microorganism of the same name. This ingredient works in concert with hydrating Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Saccharide Isomerate and Galactoarabinan to balance, soften and support the skin. Complementing these efficacious ingredients is a combination of Rose Petal, Sandalwood and Frankincense essential oils: renowned for their soothing and hydrating properties, they also lend the formulation its floral, woody and resinous aroma.

Despite a sophisticated composition, use of the tonic is uncomplicated and ought to be fuss-free. Assuming the place of a more traditional daily toner, the product is lightweight and aqueous; it should be applied after cleansing and prior to hydration, whether the latter comes in the form of a cream, gel or serum—in any case, an appropriate Aesop hydrator should be chosen to suit the skin’s individual needs. It is recommended to either dispense the product onto a reusable cotton pad and wipe across the face, or to splash half a teaspoon directly into clean hands and press onto the skin, avoiding the eye area.
