RAINBOW STUDIOS PRESENTS THE VISUAL ART CLUB 01

26 Sep 2023

In celebration of RAINBOW STUDIOS 2nd Birthday this September, Founders Brent Gold and Jade Gillett have curated their first group Exhibition to be launched as the annual VISUAL ARTS CLUB. With 20 of their favourite Australian Artists being showcased in an exciting secret Sydney venue, this has been earmarked as their largest showing to date.

Over the two years we have seen the Darlinghurst showroom evolve into an interchanging creative space offering a platform for emerging artists as well as becoming the Sydney home to their in-house jewellery labels, HENSON and HEN- SON & GOLD. The Studio has also hosted events for the likes of Golden Goose, Mecca, Fazeek and many more. Jade says “This Exhibition falls on our second birthday of RAINBOW STUDIOS which leads us to celebrate how far we have come. This is an opportunity to merge the artists who have resided within our studio with the artists we’ve long admired. Our focus has been to discover the new and emerging artists whilst celebrating the established, creating a unique global experience that has become identifiably RS. For this brand milestone we wanted to scale the exhibitions up and to do this we have handpicked a star-studded lineup of Australian Artists that we are truly honoured and proud to be working with.”

The direction of the show is to showcase each artist, to celebrate their craft. With no parameters, the brief was to create pieces that are authentic to their own creativity. “We want there to be no boundaries in the artwork they create” says Gillett.

Australian Artists included in the show are: Abbey Rich, Brett Chan, Brittany Ferns, Emma Creasley, Gareth Owens, Jamie Preisz, John Respondek, Joshua Space, Jordan Flemming, Jordy Hewitt, Kubi Vasak, Louis Wayling, Lochlan Sutherland, Mekong, Milly Dent, Nicholas Caldwell, Oliver Ackland, Robby Bennett, Sarah Ellen and Tabitha Hope.

Each Artist has created someone new for the show that has not been seen before, 36 pieces created exclusively for RAINBOW STUDIOS . Mediums include a mixture of art on canvas, art on fabric, photography, resin, copper, sculpture and ceramics. The opening night will include invitations to the RAINBOW STUDIOS community as well as the general public. Throughout the evening guests can expect to enjoy signature gin cocktails by esteemed RS partner, Ester Spirits. On this opening night: Doors will open from 6pm until 9pm on Thursday 28th September Secret Venue will be announced before the opening night. Proudly Sponsored by Broadsheet Access, Ester Spirits, Thirst Trap and Dither App.
