Sydney, April 2021 – FENDI opens its first flagship boutique in Sydney, located on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Market Street in the Queen’s Club exclusive heritage building.
The new boutique seamlessly spans over 255 sqm on one floor and presents both Women’s and Men’s Ready-to-Wear collections, accessories, and leather goods in the latest FENDI boutique concept that reflects both the Maison’s DNA enriched with unique elements.
FENDI Queen’s Club’s fac?ade is a one-of-a-kind sculpture all made with a gold lacquered glass finishing and champagne metal details. The design is inspired by the dynamic and diverse city of Sydney, whilst also embodying a modern interpretation of one of FENDI’s codes – the Pequin motif. This striped pattern, is reflected through the special cantilever awning with alternated polish and satin glass panels divided by linear LED lights, resulting in spectacular and dazzling reflections under the Sydney sun. The golden tones are also drawn from the original historical architecture of the heritage building.
Upon entering the boutique, guests will immediately discover the ‘Magic Cube’ like a precious jewel placed in the middle of the boutique, its finishing in gold polish glass and hosts the Maison’s iconic Men’s and Women’s Peekaboo bags.
The spaces are pervaded by a refined atmosphere and surrounded by whispered details that reflect the Maison's DNA, such as the diagonal pattern in multicoloured mink inspired by the iconic Astuccio fur and the ivory stucco motifs that recreate a version of the iconic FF logo designed by Karl Lagerfeld that set a background for the product niches.
Throughout the first two areas of the boutique, the distinct Italian Arabescato Vagli marble that recalls the architecture of Roman churches and spans across the floors and the columns, creating a grandeur atmosphere.
Directly connected with the Woman RTW and Shoes area, there is a ViC room that is reflective of the Art Nouveau style with a floral carpet and bamboo displays.
The striking new FENDI boutique brings a luxurious touch of Italy to downtown Sydney.
