On 20 March 2026, Chopard once again marked the International Day of Happiness, reaffirming its long-standing belief that joy and well-being are aspirations that transcend borders and generations. The annual celebration has become part of the Maison’s rhythm, aligning naturally with its enduring pursuit of lightness, movement and emotional resonance in jewellery and watchmaking
To honour the occasion this year, Chopard introduced new Happy Hearts tie necklaces, extending a collection that has become synonymous with warmth and sentiment. Crafted in 18-carat ethical white gold and ethical rose gold, the necklaces reinterpret the tie silhouette with contemporary fluidity. The sliding heart motif rests at the centre, either paved with diamond brilliants or set with soft pink mother-of-pearl, allowing the piece to shift delicately with the wearer’s movements. A discreet push-button adjustment system ensures ease, reinforcing the balance between elegance and functionality
At each end of the chain, two golden hearts cradle Chopard’s iconic dancing diamonds, their free-floating brilliance catching light with subtle animation. This detail draws directly from the Happy Diamonds concept introduced in 1976, where diamonds were set free between sapphire crystals to move independently, an idea that reshaped contemporary jewellery design. As 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Happy Diamonds, the unveiling of these new creations carries additional meaning, celebrating five decades of playful innovation and luminous craftsmanship
Beyond the jewellery itself, Chopard’s International Day of Happiness has evolved into a global boutique experience. Floral installations and artistic activations have long extended the spirit of celebration beyond the display cases, reinforcing the Maison’s belief that happiness is something to be shared rather than simply worn.
The new Happy Hearts tie necklaces capture that philosophy in wearable form. Fluid yet structured, romantic yet modern, they translate the language of movement into precious materials. As the world pauses on 20 March to acknowledge happiness as a universal goal, Chopard offers a gentle reminder that joy can reside in small details: a sliding heart, a dancing diamond, a glimmer that responds to every gesture.
