Panerai’s New Luminor Marina PAM01759 Arrives with Vintage Allure and Modern Strength

31 Dec 2025

Panerai introduces the Luminor Marina PAM01759, a limited edition of 1000 pieces that brings the Maison’s maritime heritage into the present with striking clarity. The watch draws directly from the emblematic codes of Panerai’s earliest naval instruments, echoing the utilitarian beauty shaped in Florence for the Italian Navy’s specialist diving units. With its fusion of archival details and contemporary engineering, the PAM01759 captures a quietly powerful aesthetic that feels perfectly aligned with today’s appreciation for purposeful design.

The 44 mm stainless steel case and domed sapphire crystal create an outline instantly recognisable to Panerai collectors. The domed glass, highlighted in the close-up imagery on page two, recalls historic underwater instruments and enhances legibility, magnifying the all-numeral dial that defines many of Panerai’s most iconic pieces. The black dial features full Arabic numerals coated in green Super-LumiNova, a detail inspired by the visibility needs of military divers working in low-light conditions. At 9 o’clock, a small seconds counter reinforces the instrumental character of the watch — a functional necessity in early naval commissions, where monitoring movement performance was critical underwater.

Inside the case lies the P.9010 calibre, an automatic movement with a three-day power reserve supported by twin barrels. This calibre allows quick adjustment of the hour hand without affecting the minute hand, making time zone changes seamless. In keeping with the vintage ethos, Panerai has omitted the date window to preserve a cleaner, more historically accurate dial layout.

The PAM01759 offers 30-bar water resistance, equivalent to approximately 300 meters, exceeding typical benchmarks in its category. Page three highlights the engraved closed caseback marking it as a limited edition, strengthening the sense of rarity. The watch is paired with a dark brown vintage-style calf leather strap and trapezoidal pin buckle, with an additional black rubber strap included for versatility. Presented in a wooden box reserved for Panerai’s special releases, the PAM01759 speaks to the enduring character of the Luminor line while reinforcing Panerai’s roots in maritime exploration.

As Panerai continues to build its legacy from its Neuchâtel manufacture, the Luminor Marina PAM01759 stands as a reminder of the Maison’s origins — utilitarian, bold, and crafted with a singular purpose. It is a timepiece that resonates not only through design, but through history carried forward with conviction.
