The 2025 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève unfolded last night in Geneva with the kind of anticipation reserved for the most influential moments in luxury watchmaking. Among the brands that defined the evening, Chopard stood at the centre of attention. The Maison, long regarded as one of the pillars of Swiss horology, secured two major awards at GPHG 2025, reinforcing its reputation for innovation, precision and emotional craftsmanship.
Chopard claimed the Sports Watch Prize with the Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF, a high-frequency luxury sports watch that showcased the Maison’s most advanced technical achievements. Crafted from ceramicised titanium, the 41mm case balanced exceptional lightness with remarkable durability. The Pitch Black titanium dial carried subtle orange accents, offering a restrained contrast that highlighted the watch’s aerodynamic personality. At its heart beat the Chopard 01.14-C calibre, a Chronometer-certified, high-frequency movement that elevated the Alpine Eagle into one of the most sophisticated sports watches of 2025.
The Ladies’ Complication Prize recognised the IMPERIALE Four Seasons, a poetic interpretation of time that blended fine mechanics with artistic storytelling. Its 18-carat ethical white gold case was illuminated by diamonds, framing the LUC 96.31-L calibre within. A rotating disc transitioned through the cycle of the seasons, transforming the passing of time into an elegant and deeply expressive movement. The IMPERIALE Four Seasons became one of the standout ladies’ complications of the year, admired for both technical depth and emotional resonance.
Chopard’s achievements at GPHG 2025 added to a long list of distinctions that underscored its position among the most respected luxury watch Maisons. In 2024, the brand earned the Eco-Innovation Prize and the Jewellery Watch Prize. In 2017, the LUC Full Strike minute repeater won the prestigious Aiguille d’Or, a milestone that cemented Chopard’s status at the forefront of modern haute horlogerie.
Often referred to as the Oscars of watchmaking, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève annually brings together hundreds of the world’s most exceptional timepieces. Each award recognises technical mastery, aesthetic innovation and heritage. For collectors, experts and enthusiasts, GPHG remains the most prestigious benchmark in contemporary watch culture.
Chopard’s dual victory in 2025 was more than a celebration of two exceptional watches. It reflected a philosophy rooted in authenticity, precision and a profound respect for watchmaking artistry. In a landscape defined by constant evolution, Chopard continued to create luxury watches that resonated not only through performance, but through the emotional legacy embedded in every movement.
