Van Cleef & Arpels Reimagines Luck: The Alhambra Icon Transforms Once Again

09 Nov 2025

Few creations in the world of fine jewellery have achieved the rare equilibrium of symbolism, artistry, and emotion quite like Van Cleef & Arpels’ Alhambra. Born in 1968, the clover-shaped motif has become synonymous with luck and light — a charm that carries both heritage and hope. This year, the Maison unveils a new chapter in the story: transformable creations that reinvent how this beloved icon is worn and adored.

The new Magic Alhambra Transformable Long Necklaces are a celebration of fluidity and elegance. For the first time, these long necklaces can be styled in multiple ways — as a statement-length piece, a short necklace, or even a bracelet. Crafted in guilloché rose or white gold, they combine mother-of-pearl and chalcedony with signature golden beaded contours that play beautifully with light. Every clasp and proportion has been meticulously designed to ensure balance and grace, with hidden mechanics preserving the illusion of seamless perfection.

Alongside them, two Vintage Alhambra Reversible Rings embody the Maison’s mastery of duality — each rotating gently to reveal either a radiant diamond or an iridescent stone surface. Whether in rose gold with grey mother-of-pearl or white gold with blue chalcedony, these rings express a quiet, tactile sophistication that speaks directly to the hand that wears them.

Completing the collection, the Sweet Alhambra Watch merges jewellery and timekeeping with poetic subtlety. Diamonds, guilloché white gold and chalcedony dance together across its dial, each motif reflecting the light like ripples on silk.

From its Parisian ateliers to the heart of Place Vendôme, Van Cleef & Arpels has always honoured transformation — of materials, of movement, and of meaning. With the 2025 Alhambra collection, the Maison invites the modern wearer to experience luck as it was always meant to be: alive, evolving, and infinitely personal.
