Gucci’s “The Tiger” Stole the Spotlight in Milan and New York with Couture-Infused Cinema

28 Sep 2025

Gucci once again blurred the boundaries between fashion and cinema with the premiere of The Tiger in Milan on September 23, 2025. Directed by Oscar winner Spike Jonze alongside Halina Reijn, the short film unfolded like a couture fever dream, weaving Gucci’s La Famiglia collection by Artistic Director Demna into a family drama that was as captivating as it was unsettling.

At the heart of the story was Barbara Gucci, Head of Gucci International and Chairman of California, played against a backdrop of opulence and fragile control. As she gathered her children and a distinguished guest for her birthday, cracks appeared in the carefully constructed façade, spiralling into a night of revelation and chaos.

With an ensemble cast including Demi Moore, Edward Norton, Ed Harris, Elliot Page, Keke Palmer, Alia Shawkat, Julianne Nicholson, Heather Lawless, Ronny Chieng, Kendall Jenner, and Alex Consani, the film became as much a showcase of cinematic talent as it was of Gucci’s design codes.

Following its Milan debut, The Tiger was screened at Cinema Village in New York on September 24 and at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan on September 25. Across both cities, audiences were immersed in Gucci’s mastery of storytelling, where fashion and cinema merged into a single unforgettable spectacle.
