Cadillac Formula 1 Enters 2026 with Bottas, Perez, and Tommy Hilfiger at the Helm

30 Aug 2025

August 26 marked a defining moment for motorsport and fashion alike. The Cadillac Formula 1 Team announced that Valtteri Bottas, a 10-time Grand Prix winner, and Sergio “Checo” Perez, a six-time race victor, will spearhead its debut F1 season in 2026. Together, with more than 500 starts and over 100 podiums, the pair bring unmatched experience, technical insight, and leadership to the team’s fresh competitive journey.

Backed by General Motors and TWG Motorsports, Cadillac’s entry blends American engineering ambition with European racing expertise across hubs in Indiana, Charlotte, and Silverstone. “This isn’t just a racing project—it’s a long-term vision,” Bottas shared, while Perez emphasised the pride of helping Cadillac become “the team of the Americas”.

Adding to the glamour, Tommy Hilfiger was confirmed as the official apparel sponsor. From custom kit for drivers and crew to global fanwear collections set to launch in February 2026, the partnership is an intersection of racing adrenaline and fashion innovation. Jackets, polos, sweatshirts, and caps will bring the thrill of F1 from the track to wardrobes worldwide.

Hilfiger’s connection to F1 is no passing trend. From sponsoring Lotus, Ferrari, and Mercedes-AMG F1 to collaborating with Lewis Hamilton, the brand has decades of motorsport heritage. Now, dressing Cadillac’s debut team represents a bold continuation of that legacy.

With Bottas and Perez leading the charge and Tommy Hilfiger shaping the look, Cadillac’s entry into Formula 1 feels less like a debut and more like the beginning of a cultural phenomenon.
