CAMILLA AND MARC Push the Conversation Further—Ovaries. Talk About Them. Enters Its Fifth Year with Breakthrough in Sight

27 Aug 2025

CAMILLA AND MARC have once again proven that fashion can fuel more than style—it can drive life-saving change. On August 25, the brand unveiled the fifth year of its globally recognised campaign, Ovaries. Talk About Them., a movement dedicated to breaking silence around ovarian cancer and funding the world’s first DNA-based early detection test .

Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has raised over $2.5 million through 100 percent of proceeds from the campaign collection and donations. These funds have supported pioneering research led by Professor Caroline Ford and her all-female team at the Gynaecological Cancer Research Group at UNSW Sydney . In 2024, the researchers identified three highly specific DNA biomarkers unique to ovarian cancer cells. The current phase, multiplexing, is focused on combining these biomarkers into a single sensitive blood test, the final step before clinical trials set for 2026 .

Ovarian cancer, often called the “silent killer,” remains one of the most lethal and underfunded cancers, with global deaths projected to rise 70 percent by 2050 . This campaign represents real hope. “We’re on the verge of a scientific breakthrough that could fundamentally change outcomes for people with ovarian cancer around the world,” said Professor Ford.

The 2025 collection strips back design to sharp, minimalist slogans like “How much are your ovaries worth?” and “It All Begins with Ovaries,” ensuring the message is louder than ever. For co-founders Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman, the campaign has always been deeply personal. “We set a bold goal but this campaign is an incredible example of what we can achieve when purpose drives business,” said Marc Freeman .

With clinical trials now in sight, this is not just a fashion statement but a call to action. Purchasing a t-shirt, making a donation, or sharing the message helps bring the test to reality—and could change the future of women’s health globally.

The Ovaries. Talk About Them. 2025 collection is now available in-store and online at camillaandmarc.com.
