As the seasons shift and renewal stirs in the air, Van Cleef & Arpels invites us once more into its poetic garden. The Maison’s beloved Lucky Spring collection returns this year in an enchanting evolution—blossoming with new interpretations of its most cherished motifs: lily of the valley, plum blossoms, and ladybugs.
First launched in 2021, Lucky Spring has become a springtime signature, blending two of the Maison’s most enduring themes—nature and luck. This year, the collection once again calls upon the joyful creative vision of French designer Alexandre Benjamin Navet, a longtime friend of the house, whose illustrations frame the collection in a whimsical world of colour and celebration.
Crafted in luminous rose gold and adorned with white mother-of-pearl, carnelian, and onyx, the new creations shimmer with seasonal symbolism. Plum blossoms—delicate yet enduring—emerge as the heroes of this chapter. Known to bloom in winter, they herald the start of spring, carrying with them a spirit of resilience and quiet optimism. Each bloom is delicately carved in iridescent mother-of-pearl, its round petals framed in gold with light dancing across their surface.
Equally charming is the ladybug, whose ruby-red wings, rendered in carnelian and polished gold, symbolise joy and protection. Whether nestled into a Between the Finger ring alongside a lily of the valley bud, or mid-flight on a pendant, its rounded silhouette sparkles with golden dots and whimsical vitality.
Each piece is a marvel of savoir-faire. Using traditional lost-wax casting and meticulous stone-setting techniques, the Maison’s artisans shape and polish every surface—often decorating both sides to ensure beauty from every angle. Golden beads are placed one by one, and mother-of-pearl inlays are set by hand with barely visible prongs.
From the five-motif bracelet to the plum blossom earrings and the ladybug clips, Lucky Spring offers a radiant and joyful celebration of the season’s rebirth. Each jewel is a wish, a charm, a moment of poetry to carry close as the world turns in bloom.
