Saint Laurent’s Milan Triumph: Charlotte Perriand’s Lost Designs Now Available to Own—Limited Stock Alert!

28 Apr 2025

During Milan Design Week, SAINT LAURENT stunned the design world as Anthony Vaccarello brought the visionary spirit of Charlotte Perriand back to life. From April 8 to 13, at the Padiglione Visconti, the exhibition unveiled four previously unproduced furniture pieces—each one a breathtaking testament to Perriand’s legacy of modernist purity and artisanal mastery.

Among the standout creations was the Table Mille-Feuilles, a 1963 prototype never realized until now, crafted from layered rosewood and cherrywood to dramatic effect. The Banquette de la Résidence de l’Ambassadeur du Japon, a floating sofa originally conceived for Paris’ Japanese Embassy, and the monumental Bibliothèque Rio de Janeiro bookcase further showcased Perriand’s ability to merge architectural strength with intimate craftsmanship.

Though the Milan showcase has now drawn to a close, Saint Laurent’s tribute to Perriand lives on. Design collectors and aesthetes can still acquire made-to-order reproductions of these historic pieces through private consultations via the brand’s dedicated registry—a rare opportunity to secure a fragment of 20th-century design history reimagined through Saint Laurent’s uncompromising lens.

Meanwhile, the celebration continues in Paris. Until May 4 and May 7 respectively, SAINT LAURENT BABYLONE and RIVE DROITE boutiques present exhibitions of Charlotte Perriand’s photographic works, inviting visitors to immerse themselves further into her groundbreaking creative universe.

For those who believe that timeless design transcends eras, Saint Laurent’s homage offers not only a look back—but a way forward. Discover more and explore the registry by visiting saintlaurent.com.
