Get ready, Seoul. One of the most celebrated fashion exhibitions of the decade is about to dazzle the Korean capital. Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams, the globally acclaimed retrospective that has enchanted audiences in Paris, London, New York, Tokyo and beyond, is finally making its highly anticipated debut at Dongdaemun Design Plaza from April 19 to July 13, 2025.
Curated by Florence Müller and designed in collaboration with Shohei Shigematsu of global architecture firm OMA, this immersive showcase is more than just a fashion exhibition—it’s a poetic voyage through the House of Dior’s seventy-five-year legacy of elegance, innovation and fantasy. Visitors are invited into a sensorial dreamworld, where haute couture pieces and archive documents reveal the evolution of the House’s visionary creativity, from Christian Dior’s revolutionary New Look of 1947 to the boundary-pushing artistry of its contemporary creative directors.
At the heart of the exhibition lies a visual love letter to themes central to Dior’s DNA: an obsession with flowers and gardens, the meticulous mastery of the Ateliers, and the House’s long-standing romance with the fantasy of the ball. Yet what makes the Seoul edition uniquely captivating is its rich dialogue with Korean artistry. A special section devoted to Lady Dior unveils exclusive reinterpretations of the iconic bag by Korean artists, including nine for the Dior Lady Art project and seventeen for the Lady Dior As Seen By concept. These creative collaborations transform the timeless accessory into bold new forms, infusing it with local narrative and imagination.
The journey continues with a celebration of Dior’s perfumed universe. Evocative installations showcase bottles, portraits, and rare objects, spotlighting the House’s muses like Rihanna and Natalie Portman, who embody the essence of J’adore and Miss Dior, respectively. Every room pulses with Dior’s passion for couture as an art form—and his belief that fragrance, fashion, and fantasy are inseparable.
With each step, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams unfolds as a cultural moment—an invitation not just to witness the House’s storied past, but to be immersed in its enduring magic. For those who believe fashion is more than fabric, this is your ticket to wonder.
