Cartier’s Clash Eyewear Just Rewrote the Rules of Luxury—Here’s How to Wear Jewellery on Your Face

22 Mar 2025

In a move that merges the precision of haute joaillerie with the audacity of modern design, Cartier unveiled its groundbreaking Clash de Cartier Eyewear Collection this March, redefining what it means to wear luxury. The Spring/Summer 2025 campaign transforms the maison’s iconic jewellery motifs into eyewear for the first time, offering frames that oscillate between rebellion and refinement with effortless magnetism. Crafted for those who view accessories as armour, the collection channels Jeanne Toussaint’s fearless spirit through mobile picot studs and clou carré accents, all meticulously embedded into rimless metal silhouettes that kiss the skin like liquid gold.

The four styles—CT0543S, CT0544S, CT0545S, and CT0565O—are studies in contrast. The cat-eyed CT0543S sunglasses drape the face in golden metal, their temples adorned with cascading picot studs that shimmer with every turn. The rectangular CT0544S, available in platinum or gold, frames the gaze with geometric rigour, while the square-jawed CT0545S exudes a quiet power reminiscent of Cartier’s Tank watches. For those who prefer subtle rebellion, the optical CT0565O cat-eye pairs practicality with poetry, its studded temples whispering secrets of craftsmanship. Coloured lenses, echoing the tonal depth of gemstones, add a layer of intrigue, transforming sunlight into a private dialogue between wearer and world.

This is eyewear that refuses to be mere utility. Each piece is a manifesto—a declaration that luxury lives in the tension between classic and avant-garde, weightlessness and opulence. To wear Clash de Cartier is to carry the maison’s jewelled legacy on your temples, where light catches every stud like a dare.
