Miranda Kerr’s Golden Heart: Supermodel Crowned Global Ambassador for Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation

19 Mar 2025

In a luminous blend of glamour and altruism, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) has unveiled its first-ever Gold Global Ambassador: Miranda Kerr. The Australian supermodel, entrepreneur, and devoted philanthropist now lends her star power to amplify one of the nation’s most prestigious philanthropic initiatives—the Gold Series. Known for her advocacy in family wellness and her unshakable ties to her homeland, Kerr steps into this role with a legacy of support for SCHF, having championed life-saving projects such as new operating theatres at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and electrifying audiences at the 2022 Sydney Gold Dinner.

For nearly three decades, SCHF’s Gold Series has galvanized Australia’s elite to transform paediatric healthcare, raising over $90 million AUD since 1997. Now expanding globally with events planned in Perth, the USA, and UK, the initiative’s ambition mirrors Kerr’s own boundless dedication. “As a mother of four and someone who needed special care after being born prematurely, I understand how critical this work is,” shared Kerr, her voice resonant with conviction. “Visiting Sydney Children’s Hospital and witnessing the staff’s devotion was profoundly moving. It’s an honor to use my platform to help create brighter futures for these children.”

Josh Penn, Gold Committee Co-Chair and SCHF Board Member, hailed Kerr’s appointment as a catalyst for global impact: “Miranda’s compassion, influence, and Australian pride will elevate our mission to new heights. She embodies the heart of what Gold Series stands for—innovation, hope, and unwavering commitment to healing.”

The 2025 Gold Series will crescendo with its flagship Gold Dinner in Sydney on June 11, uniting luminaries like Alina Barlow, Monika Tu, and Kristy-Ann Nassif Elias under a shared vision. Linda Penn, Gold Committee Co-Chair, emphasized the campaign’s soaring aspirations: “With Miranda’s voice and our donors’ passion, we’re poised to achieve something extraordinary. Every dollar raised fuels breakthroughs that redefine paediatric care.”

SCHF CEO Kristina Keneally underscored the urgency of this mission: “Funds from the Gold Series don’t just save lives—they spark revolutions in children’s healthcare. Miranda’s involvement magnifies our resolve to deliver hope where it’s needed most.”

For those inspired to join this golden movement, the 2025 Gold Dinner awaits—an evening where elegance meets empathy, and every gesture shines brighter than diamonds.
