RIMOWA has long been synonymous with craftsmanship and innovation, and its latest collaboration with German musical instrument specialist GEWA continues this legacy. Following the success of their initial partnership, the two brands have come together once again to introduce the RIMOWA x GEWA Trumpet Case Silver—a meticulously designed piece that sets a new benchmark in instrument transportation.
Combining RIMOWA’s iconic design language with GEWA’s expertise in mechanical-acoustical and digital musical instruments, this special-edition case is crafted in Germany from RIMOWA’s signature anodised grooved aluminium. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s Classic collection, the case features glossy aluminium corners, a luxurious leather handle, and a practical crossbody strap for effortless travel.
Inside, the case offers a masterclass in protection and organisation. A premium black foam inlay with a soft microfiber lining cradles two trumpets, while the precision-engineered removable cushion system accommodates both Piston and Rotary models. The thoughtful design extends to a portable leather pouch for up to four mouthpieces and small accessories, along with two protective dust bags to ensure instruments remain pristine.
To celebrate the launch, RIMOWA collaborated with award-winning Mexican filmmaker Lila Avilés to produce MÚSICAS, a poignant short film spotlighting Mujeres del Viento Florido, an inspiring all-female wind instrument ensemble from Oaxaca. The film will make its world premiere on February 23rd at MoMA’s prestigious Doc Fortnight 2025 in New York City, bringing global attention to the transformative power of music.
With its fusion of style, function, and heritage, the RIMOWA x GEWA Trumpet Case Silver offers professional musicians a sophisticated companion for their creative journeys. The case will be available in limited quantities from March 6th, 2025, at RIMOWA stores worldwide and online at RIMOWA.com.
