In a celebration of passion, artistry, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Hublot marked the 25th anniversary of the iconic OpusX cigars with the release of the Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold. This extraordinary timepiece, unveiled on December 3rd, 2024, at the Arturo Fuente Cigar Factory in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, is a testament to the enduring friendship and collaboration between Hublot and Carlito Fuente.
Since 1912, the Fuente family has crafted some of the world's most sought-after cigars, with the Fuente Fuente OpusX standing as a pinnacle of cigar craftsmanship. Over the years, Carlito Fuente extended this legacy with the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, an initiative that has transformed the lives of the local community through education, healthcare, and the arts. Hublot’s involvement in the Art Academy project, officially inaugurated during the OpusX anniversary, underscores its shared commitment to supporting creativity and excellence.
The Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold is the sixth special edition born from this collaboration, yet it distinguishes itself with first-ever features. Presented in a 42mm Classic Fusion Chronograph case, the watch is crafted from King Gold, with its bezel adorned by a laser-engraved tobacco leaf motif—a nod to the Fuente family’s tobacco heritage.
The vibrant emerald green dial, enriched with a sunray finish and gradient fumé effect, evokes the lush tobacco fields of Chateau de la Fuente. An anniversary version of the OpusX logo in gold and green graces the constant seconds counter at 3 o’clock, creating an exquisite balance of color and design. Complementing the dial is a tonal alligator leather and rubber strap, seamlessly blending luxury with durability.
On the reverse, the solid 18k King Gold case back is intricately engraved and lacquered with special OpusX 25th Anniversary artwork, concealing the HUB1153 automatic chronograph calibre with a 48-hour power reserve. This hidden masterpiece speaks to the exclusivity of this limited edition.
To elevate the experience further, the watch is presented in a grand green lacquered box that doubles as a cigar humidor. Designed in collaboration with Manny Iriarte, this case is as much a work of art as the timepiece itself. Limited to just 50 pieces, this radiant creation is available at Hublot boutiques and authorized retailers.
