This exclusive masterpiece reimagines Murakami's iconic smiling flower in a sapphire case adorned with radiant gemstones, while also featuring Hublot’s first central tourbillon. Limited to just 20 pieces, this watch transcends traditional boundaries, blending high art with advanced horology.
Crafted from a block of sapphire crystal, the 42mm case exhibits twelve gemstone-studded petals that embody Murakami’s vivid chromatic palette. Meticulously set with 444 colored gemstones, each petal radiates a distinct hue, creating a captivating rainbow effect. In a bold horological feat, Hublot’s HUB9015 calibre lies at the watch’s core, with a central flying tourbillon visible through a domed crystal face etched with Murakami’s joyful expression.
Powering the MP-15’s exceptional central tourbillon is a manual-winding mechanism boasting a 120-hour power reserve, effortlessly wound using a specialized rechargeable stylus. This innovative design keeps time effortlessly visible, with two hands rotating around the periphery of the central tourbillon, creating a seamless visual experience enhanced by skeletonized components that seem to float in space.
