Every year, as nature reawakens, Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates its beauty with poetic tributes through its collections. In 2024, the Frivole jewelry collection expands with five dazzling new creations, including a white gold 7-flowers bracelet, a rose gold Between the Finger ring, and an 8-flowers ring that pairs rose and white gold in a harmonious dialogue. The Maison’s exceptional craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from diamond selection to mirror polishing, bringing the collection’s luminous floral designs to life.
This year’s standout piece is the delicate 7-flowers bracelet, featuring asymmetrical, heart-shaped petals crafted in white gold and set with nearly 300 diamonds. These flowers glitter against the skin, their lively design reflecting nature’s energy and beauty.
For the first time, the Frivole collection introduces a spectacular 8-flowers ring that pairs rose and white gold. The intricate design features five diamond-paved white gold flowers, arranged at different heights, contrasting with three rose gold flowers, each accented with a central diamond. Mirror-polished rose gold enhances the ring’s interplay of light and shadow, reminiscent of flowers sparkling in sunlight.
Adding to the collection, new Frivole earrings, a pendant, and the Between the Finger ring, all in rose gold, offer a warm glow for any look. The asymmetrical design features carefully set diamonds, with a subtle tête-à-tête between two rose gold flowers. The soft pink hues of the metal and sparkling stones evoke freshly blossomed flowers, perfect for mixing and matching.
Van Cleef & Arpels continues its tradition of excellence with each Frivole piece. Mirror polishing, a signature technique since the 1920s, is performed by hand to maximize brilliance. The diamonds, selected to the highest standards (D to F color, IF to VVS clarity), are expertly set to ensure optimal light flow, enhancing their natural radiance.
Since the Maison’s inception in 1907, nature has been a constant source of inspiration. From the Marguerite brooch to the floral jewels of the 1930s and beyond, Van Cleef & Arpels has celebrated the wonders of flora. The heart-shaped petals introduced in the 1940s evolved into today’s Frivole collection, which has been a testament to the brand’s dedication to beauty and harmony since 2003.
For 2024, French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet has reimagined the world of Frivole, infusing it with vibrant color and poetic charm. His designs for the Maison's window displays and boutiques bring an artistic flourish, evoking spring’s rejuvenating spirit through whimsical motifs and lively compositions.
