From September 2 to 29, 2024, Dior presents the exceptional exhibition L'Or de Dior at the Guardian Art Center in Beijing. Like an ode to the symbolic power and universal beauty of gold – a founding code inextricably linked to the history of the House – this retrospective is revealed via an outstanding scenographic narrative. A source of infinite fascination for Christian Dior and the Artistic Directors who have succeeded him, this eternally magical inspiration is wonderfully highlighted.
Throughout this fabulous initiatory journey, punctuated by oneiric spaces and exclusive works – specially carried out for this event by Chinese and international artists –, over seventy years of virtuoso creations, from couture to perfumes, are unveiled. Visitors can discover precious and bewitching accessories, emblematic objects and silhouettes, as well as the sumptuous metamorphoses of J'adore, a unique and iconic fragrance that lends itself to multiple reinterpretations.
As the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China is celebrated, this happening reinforces more than ever the many ties uniting Dior and this captivating country, which has inspired the House since its very beginnings in 1947.
