VEJA and Études codesign a pair of sneakers for their first exclusive collaboration.
Founded in 2012, Études is a Paris-based brand that expresses itself through different types of media, from menswear to book publishing while collaborating with talents from diverse artistic backgrounds.
Inspired by art, photography, and urban culture, the brand fills its collections with contemporary references.
The VEJA x Études collaboration embodies the Parisian brand's contemporary style and spirit of experimentation.
The two brands reimagine the Fitz Roy style, inspired by hiking and the outdoors. The pair is clad in mineral gray tones, paying tribute to the landscapes of the Vercors Massif that’s dear to the Études’ founders.
The shoe features geometric patterns reminiscent of towering mountains, with a striking contrast between VEJA’s V and Études’ É. Embellished with Études' signature blue, this collaboration seamlessly blends the unique aesthetics of both brands.
The visual campaign shot by Thomas Rousset at the Parisian Tour Montparnasse captures the transformation of a passionate climber's ordinary workday into a moment of playful madness. Through unconventional poses and playful gestures, the VEJA x Études collaboration comes to life.
VEJA x Études is inspired by the Fitz Roy, VEJA’s technical hiking shoe. The style has a solid and stable sole thanks to multidirectional crampons and a Rock-Plate which offers protection even on the trail from sharp stones.
Its Trek-Shell upper, VEJA’s new technical material, is made of 100% recycled polyester that is resistant and water-resistant. Its tightly woven fabric is treated with a PFC-free durable water repellent.
‘’The VEJA x Études addresses both the outdoor by its technicity and fashion by the subtle design details, colors, materials, and proportions that are composing the pair.
At Études we are familiar with both environments. We grew up in Grenoble in the Alps, we feel close with what a pair of hiking shoes should deliver. At the same time, we know that most of the people will want to wear it in the city to punctuate a look. This is the mindset that made this collaboration unique.’’ - Aurélien Arbet, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Études.
