Since its launch as the world’s first polycarbonate suitcase, RIMOWA’s Essential collection has remained a trusted companion for discerning travellers for decades. Now, the legendary German Maison is pleased to announce the creation of a cross- category collection that sees the RIMOWA Essential range reimagined in a lively shade of blue that’s inspired by the regenerative influence of the sea.
On a quest to capture the essence of the sea, complete with its serene energy and restorative virtues, RIMOWA unveils Sea Blue, a saturated shade of blue that’s equally vibrant as it is calming. The captivating colour takes on new heights on the Essential collection’s gleaming grooved shell.
In keeping with RIMOWA’s ongoing mission to celebrating design houses around the world, the Maison chose an iconic 1950s home on the outskirts of Barcelona as the backdrop of a campaign. The new capsule collection was captured among the home’s Modernist features, where the serene Sea Blue hue harmoniously complemented the home’s organic arches, tiles and natural light.
The RIMOWA polycarbonate range has been expertly colour-matched in Sea Blue, from its shell to its wheel housing. Built to accompany travellers on journeys around the globe, the RIMOWA Essential collection features a series of sophisticated functionalities, from the stage-free telescopic handle and Multiwheel system that ensure a seamless travel experience to its TSA-approved locks to secure your belongings.
The range also features a dual-organisation interior with a fully zipped compartment to contain all your items during transport and a RIMOWA’s adjustable Flex Divider on the other side, keeping your belongings in perfect order.
To complete the collection and offer travellers a coordinated travel experience, a series of accessories are also available in Sea Blue, including RIMOWA’s Toiletry Pouch and Packing Cubes.
Starting January 4th, the RIMOWA Essential Cabin in Sea Blue (RRP $1,335 AUD), the RIMOWA Essential Check-In L in Sea Blue (RRP $1,675 AUD), the RIMOWA Essential Trunk Plus in Sea Blue (RRP $2,120 AUD), the RIMOWA Toiletry Pouch in Sea Blue (RRP $230 AUD), the RIMOWA Packing Cube Small in Sea Blue (RRP $160 AUD), the RIMOWA Packing Cube Medium in Sea Blue (RRP $180 AUD), and the RIMOWA Packing Cube Large in Sea Blue (RRP $195 AUD), will be available in stores and online at RIMOWA.com.
