Dion Lee opens new flagship retail store in 80 Collins complex. With six stores already in Australia, the Collins Street flagship opening marks the first boutique in five years for the New York-based, Australian fashion designer.
Known for his intricate constructed garments, Dion Lee draws inspiration from art, architecture, and construction in his fashion that is sculptural, technical, and functional. Located amongst the Paris-end of Collins Street, the store presents an understated luxury experience with grit, a reflection of the growth and maturity of the Dion Lee brand.
Designed by Stamuli AB, the two-level boutique features the concept of rooms within a room. Harmonious combinations of distinct colours, textures, and room dividing elements, clients are guided through impactful spaces that feel almost ethereal yet remain open and airy.
The highly curated palette consisting of concrete flooring, clay work, glass, metal, and leather in varied forms are combined to make the Dion Lee spatial experience. Limited in colour and embellishment, the resulting space is both polished and textured; luxurious and gritty, distinctively on brand and a great canvas to let the seasonal fashion collection be the hero.
