Part of Aesop’s Sun Care range, Protective Facial Lotion SPF50 offers high-level, broad- spectrum UV protection. A medium-weight lotion ideal for everyday use, it moisturises the skin while guarding against UVA and UVB rays. Suitable for most skin types—particularly ‘normal’ to dry—it has a non-greasy skin feel with a sustained finish.
The formulation comprises a combination of oil-soluble and water-soluble chemical UV filters. Its hydrating ingredients include Niacinamide and humectant Saccharide Isomerate, while the emollient Tocopherol is included to nourish the skin. Essential oils of Sage Leaf, Lavender Stem and Cedar Atlas have been selected for their combined benefits, with known hydrating, soothing and purifying properties; together they lend the formulation a warm, herbaceous and woody aroma.
Aesop also offers Protective Facial Lotion SPF25, which utilises an alternative blend of chemical UV filters to provide lightweight broad-spectrum sun protection.
For best results, massage a generous amount—roughly half a teaspoon—evenly over freshly cleansed and toned skin, twenty minutes prior to sun exposure. The formulation is amenable to layering over other skin care products, and under makeup. Reapplication is required throughout the day to maintain protection, particularly after perspiring, swimming or towelling dry.
