In celebrating the Spring 2021 Women’s & Men’s Collections arriving in Australia, on Tuesday March 30th, the founder of IC&Co Icy Ling hosted a styling event at the Polo Ralph Lauren boutique located in Chatswood Chase Sydney Australia.
Just a few days before the evening event, guests also received a bottle of Champagne, to watch the immersive digital fashion show “All or Nothing at All” on March 26th 10am AEST for the full experience fusing music, film and fashion.
The event started at 6PM, followed with a 30 minutes styling session. The photographer Kaka and 2 more guests were dressed in pieces from the latest collection. They were selected representing 3 different age groups and personalities. Icy also styled each of them with additional pieces, with tips provided.
The Polo Ralph Lauren Chatswood Chase boutique is one of the very few stores to stock Purple Label in Australia. Many guests as the house’s close friends, attended whearing their previous purchased pieces. Others were new to a few of the fashion lines. “I didn’t realize Ralph Lauren has so many lines available in Australia. I used to just purchase Polo shirts for golfing. Now I realized what I have missed visiting this boutique for a full Ralph Lauren experience”, said a guest at the event.
“I’m happy to attend this, Sydney needs more of these fun and informative events. It has been a rare opportunity for me. Being able to purchase something I like from the latest collection is a special experience. ”Said another guest who also enjoyed the services from the engaging store staffs, “I will be back shopping for the next season.”
In her vision, Icy always wanted to create more luxurious atmosphere for her local Chinese VIPs to experience fashion. Luxury doesn’t mean higher pricepoint, but to provide higher standard services, showcasing exclusive pieces, sharing knowledge that are not easily found through social media nowadays. With her attention to details, she puts efforts to connect guests to stores, ensure each VIP enjoys shopping after the styling session. She understands the culture, their needs and purchasing habits.
“I want my guests to remember me whenever they wear the pieces they purchased from my events. I also want them to remember the brands I have collaborated with whenever they see me.”— Icy Ling.
Women’s Collection and men’s Purple Label Spring 2021 evoke a sense of romantic sophistication in a film noir sensibility. The season’s strong color palette of bold navies, creams, browns, powder blue, and tan is paired with pops of florals, Art Deco, and animal prints in unique fabrications. Effortless silhouettes are showcased in linen and silk to complement the soft suiting and sleek dresses that convey a relaxed yet polished attitude. Impeccable tailoring, luxurious nonchalance, and timeless elegance showcase Ralph’s vision for day and eveningwear.
“Ralph Lauren has certainly created a world that is beyond fashion. The pieces showcasing in store are classy and timeless, they will grow in our wardrobe with age. I felt wonderful when I finally got a chance to preview the pieces I was going to present, only few days before the actual event. More fashion houses are offering ‘See-Now-Buy-Now’ service. I thought having shorter time to prepare styling events nowadays can be challenging. But not so much when I get to work with collections like this. I am positive that the pieces will still be fashionable and easy to dress up with, even in a few years; thanks to the designs and carefully selected fabrics – these are what Ralph Lauren is famous for.”— Icy Ling.
